Dent May – Born Too Late

Wednesday, August 7th, 2013

Goodness! This is the Dent May we all know and love. If you haven’t heard him, he is a magnificent artist and excels at most every instrument he picks up. Often going songs that are rather tongue-in-cheeks, this is one that you could easily put…I don’t know…on the radio on heavy rotation! Imagine listening to the radio (with the same pop-y songs and rap songs talking about women and cars like they are both objects) and hearing this come on! INSTANT GOOD VIBES!

Dent May has a new album coming out at the end of August and if you haven’t listened to his last album which features him solely on the ukulele, do that immediately! The upcoming release, titled “Warm Blanket” (not to be confused with a wet blanket), will take you immediately to comfy-town where May will sit you down and serenade you into a state where drugs are usually necessary. Please enjoy carefully!

COIN – Atlas

Wednesday, August 7th, 2013

Getting tired of replaying the last albums from the likes of  Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, and Local Natives??? Well, fret no longer! We got some fun synth-pop here nice and fresh for you! With many resemblances to Passion Pit’s “Manners,” “Atlas” still seems very new and the all the synth textures make this track feel very light and new. Take a couple listens to this (and their other track “Honey” and catch this electro-wave before you miss it!

Enjoy!

Savoir Adore – Dreamers

Sunday, August 4th, 2013

Okay, so the video is a little out there…but think about it…so is the song! A little dreamy, a little choppy, a little prog-y…but SO freaking catchy. So catchy in fact, you might find yourself donning paint and a festive masquerade mask the next time you hear this song out of sheer necessity. This band seems to be quite a lot of fun and now that they have broken out of the New York City Indie scene, they are ready to break into your heart…just go with it, guys!
